Does it ever happen to you that you get tired of struggling with the things you don’t do well?For me, it is finishing the last 5% in my office -the filing. I do manage to get the bills out, so it really is the last tedious 5% of organizing.

Do you want to hear all my great excuses? No, I didn’t think so… :(. So, I’m ruminating about who to hire to help me with this. I’ve done it before and it was super. We got it all organized, and then slowly over the last several months it has piled up again.

So, what is your nagging little bad habit? Do you tell yourself to get over it and just do it, and then never do? Do you berate yourself for your “weakness”?

Many months ago, I wrote a blog in which I asked you to be kinder to yourself. Stop the negative self-talk. This applies here as well. In fact, sometimes if we berate ourselves we feel like we got our punishment and then we don’t fix the problem.

Use this week to address one of those nagging little problems-even if it seems self indulgent or ridiculous or whatever judgment you put on it and yourself. Then, go reward yourself by doing something you really like or that is really good for you. The waves are still big, and it is a holiday weekend….
