When you have an important decision to make, do you make it by yourself?Do you talk to other people on your management team? Or,
do you go to an outside board that you joined or put together to get honest independent feedback on the decisions you are making?

This weekend, a group of Vistage CEO’s were on retreat in Park City.We had a huge amount of fun taking ski lessons for the first time, coming down from the top of the mountain with fellow expert skiers, or just browsing the Park City shops . In addition, we spent four hours bringing our most significant business and personal issues to each other to get input – deep questioning, independent advice and practical suggestions to help in making the best decision on this important issues. And, accountability in implementing an action plan was also part of the discussion.

If you don’t have a peer group that gives you independent advice, where do you go?
